CASO DO SISTEMA DE GESTÃO DO BANCO NACIONAL DE TUMORES DO INCA NO BRASIL

As tecnologias de informação podem fornecer bases para novos rumos nas pesquisas em câncer, disponibilizando ferramentas que identifiquem sinais sutis, mas importantes, a partir da análise de dados clínicos, comportamentais, ambientais e genéticos. O objetivo deste artigo é descrever e analisar o sistema desenvolvido para a gestão do Banco Nacional de Tumores (SISBNT), destacando o seu papel para inovação tecnológica do Instituto Nacional do Câncer (INCA) do Brasil. Trata-se de um ensaio teórico-empírico qualitativo, de natureza descritiva e exploratória, apoiada no método de estudo de caso único e na observação participante. Os resultados demonstram que a implantação do SIBNT está contribuindo para melhorar a qualidade no tratamento do câncer e para apoiar os esforços da organização na integração das pesquisas básica, translacional e clínica.Referências
