Articles are welcome on research, practice, experience, current issues and debates. The JISTEM encourages submissions that integrate technological disciplines with social, contextual and management issues based on research using appropriate research methods.

It bridges the gap between the theoretical background and the application of information technology within organizations. The journal covers state-of-the-art research, information processing, enterprise systems development and implementation, and information systems management. The articles are written by academics and practitioners in both academic and professional areas aiming at contribution sharing for the evolution of the specific area and society as a whole.

The Editorial board will review all articles for publication. All papers will be subject to a blind review process. The submission of a paper for review means the author certifies that the manuscript is not copyrighted, and has not been published elsewhere.

Since January 2018 this journal is published in continuous flow, i.e., there is no edition, only one volume per year . It means that the publication is made after each article is approved, without the need to wait for closing an edition. There is one volume per year,
